God's Omniscience

God is omniscient. Omniscient means to know all. In short, God knows everything. He knows every answer to any math problem. He knows every word in every book ever written in every language. He knows every event in History. He knows how everything works, biologically, mechanically, electronically, and chemically. Deeper than this, He knows all of our secrets. He knows every thought that we have ever had. He knows everything that we have forgotten, or tried to forget. There is nothing that God does not know, and there never will be anything that God does not know, because He is omniscient. He knows everything that ever was and ever will be to know. Psalm 147:5 says, "great is our Lord and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit." This is truth.

God knows everything that ever could be to know. This cannot be over-stressed because we can never truly grasp the full concept. He knows every future, every possible outcome of every small decision that could ever be made, every bit of knowledge, and every bit of wisdom. He knows everything, academic and street wise. He knows anything that could ever be known. He knows our inside jokes, our secret hand-shakes, our deepest desires, and He knows Himself. Nothing can know an infinite being except for an infinite being. He knows everything that applies to us, and everything that we never think about, "for He looks to the ends of the Earth and sees everything under the Heavens. (Job 28:24) God knows everything that there could be to know.

Hebrews 4:13 says, "and no creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eye of Him to whom we must give account." Part of His omniscience is that He knows everything about you better than you do. Nothing is hidden from Him. He knows all things. We cannot limit His knowledge to whatever we know. We cannot say that God does not know something because we do not want Him to know, because we do not know, or because we want to know it better. He knows everything with complete understanding, and that is the end of it. Matthew 10:30 says, "but even the hairs of your head are all numbered." He knows you better than you do. Psalm 139:4 says, "even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, You know it all together." He knows us better than we know ourselves.

His omniscience is more than just knowledge. He knows every fact that there is to know, but it goes deeper. He knows every emotion and understands it better than we do because Jesus experienced them all and God created emotion. He understands every physical feeling better than we do because He is the one who created them. He understands every feeling, thought, and emotion that we have had for no reason to our eyes, because He is the only all-knowing God. He knows everything. He knows all things and that is applied to wisdom.

Because He is all knowing and God, He is also the wisest. He knows every path that every decision could ever make; so who are we to say that God has made a wrong decision? He sees every outcome that could ever be. His decisions are always the wisest and most beneficial to His plan; and His plan is for our goodness and well being. He is the smartest and wisest God ever. He is the only all-knowing and wise God.

His understanding goes far beyond us, and His wisdom knows no ends. He is the wisest and smartest God ever. He cannot be taught or surprised. News that shocks us was already known to God before the beginning. Anything that catches us off guard was known to God before the world was even made. Nothing new has ever come to God. He knows all things and always has. No one can teach Him. Who has sat God down and mentored Him? Who has corrected God and shown Him the errors of His way? Who has walked with God and shown Him a better path? No one has taught Him because He has always known everything. Not even the angels can comment on His plans. He is the only wise God.
