Speaking Life?

                There has been this idea in many Christian's ideologies that we can speak more than just words. This ideology basically states that what we speak can alter reality, just as God spoke life into the world and made things, because we are made in the image of God. There are Christians that believe this and Christians that don't. I am a Christian that used to believe this before I was serious about my faith. Now, I research everything, and there is no scripture in the Bible that says that we can speak anything into existence but words. I can boldly say without regret that if we believe we can create anything to any degree, we are as arrogant as Lucifer because speaking anything into existence is a power that God and God alone has.

                Search anywhere in the scripture, and no man spoke anything into existence. The closest scripture is Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat of its fruit." This is directly referring to us spreading the Gospel, but it is so easy to take out of context. We must stop believing that we are as great as God. In fact, Psalm 12:3-4 says, "May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that makes great boasts, those who say, 'With our tongues we will prevail, our lips are with us; who is master over us?'"

                Not everyone will side with me on this, and I am fine with this. If you would like to post your evidence against me, please do. I am open to hearing new things; but I have searched the scripture and there is nothing about us having the power of creation. That is a power only for the Creator and not the creation. Instead of getting mad and shutting this out, challenge it. If speaking something into existence is truth, bring scripture, as the word of God is the only true evidence for this.

                We must be careful with this ideology because it is false doctrine waiting to set you up for disappointing and a spiritual attack. To think that any part of you is powerful enough to create something out of nothing is to be as arrogant as the Devil, so watch what comes out of your mouth, because your tongue has the power of life through the Gospel or death through false doctrine.
