The Verdict

The wonderful thing about Christianity is that we know the ending before it happens. We know that, no matter how bad our past was and no matter what we did, we are blameless in front of God. We know that, standing in front of God on that final day of judgment, we will be told "well done my good and faithful servant." We will be counted as blameless.

The only thing that is better than knowing the ending before it happens, is living in the ending before it happens. As Christians, we are able to live a life of love and integrity. We know that God has cleaned us and has called us out of slavery to sin. We know that we have been freed and that we will be counted as blameless. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

We are forgiven! Not in the future, but right when you ask it! The moment that you come before God and ask for forgiveness, He will forgive you of your sin right on the spot. No need for a due process of law. He has already told you the verdict. "'Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.'" (Hebrews 10:17) God says that we are not guilty, and no one can tell you otherwise. God is the only one who is perfect and can judge. His ruling is the only one with true everlasting authority. His decision is the only one that matters. If you ask to be forgiven, you are made clean. You can be made "not guilty" simply by asking the loving God for a new start.
